Does anyone know if there is any final drive and pinion gear set with a higher ratio than 4.928 for the b16 trannys? I am fully aware of what this would do to my overall gear ratio because I did all the calculations so please don't reply with any comments telling me this is a stupid idea. I just wanted to know if there is anything out there to make a tranny for a b-series motor with a ratio as high as possible like 5.5 but even a 5.1 would help. Let me know

 

You mean Lower Ratio...
5.5 is a lower ratio than 4.928 The higher the number- the Lower the ratio.
And no, I don't think you will find a ratio as low 5.1 or a 5.5 for a B16.
The Highest I know of is a GEAR-X 4.50

The shortest ratio currently available "off the shelf" is a 4.928, but MFactory are currently producing a limited batch of 5.1 for the B-Series

 

Do you know how much it would cost for the kit (whatever is needed to run the 5.1 ratio in the b16a2 tranny)?
