I'm sure this has been discussed before but the archives are locked (anyone know why?)
Anyway, from experience, what's your current high compression on pump gas (92-93) and where is your timing sitting at?
Thanks!

13.5:1, and it's also the highest I'll go on pump... As for the timing had to back it down to 12 degrees... Also remember your tuning margin is very thin up there and takes more than just a A/F controller... Hondata or Speedpro

Geez, aren't you guys scared of running that high of compression, even with Hondata tuning?

Like I said, that's the highest I'll go on pump... My friend's race motor doesn't have insanely high compression but right now it's at 15.0:1, of course that's run on strictly C14... We're probably going to build a meth motor running ~17.0:1 soon... See how that goes... hehe Peace

safely

high ocatane controls detonation... as long as you dont detonate, you could run high compression safely.. when tuned, you could get away with 13.0-13.5-1cr by using93-94 octane
