highest compression on 89 octane gas
Whats the highest compression you can run on 89 octane gas. The car will be only used for daily driving. So its not going to be reved out all the time. It will be farly stock. But i need to know so I know what head gasket to get... Thanks for your help

don't think i would agree with that. my b16 has a higher compression, and I fill it with 87 all the time

Depends on how extreme the cams are. That is, if they have a lot of overlap, it means they "let out" some of the air/gas being compressed, so you don't get the full compression stroke. So in effect, you get a lower actual compression then what the geometry of the combustion chamber would lead you to think...
