Default Higher FD in LS cable tranny?

I am wondering what it would take to install either an ATS 4.92 FD or a JDM spec ITR 4.75 FD into a 91 LS cable tranny (YS1). Any help is greatly appreciated.

look at it like this:

your tranny:

3.166
1.857
1.259
0.935
0.742

your final: 4.4

you were looking at a 4.92

do this: 4.92/4.40 you get 1.118 as a rate of change.

then apply this rate of change to your gears: you get

3.54
2.07
1.407
1.045
.829

compare these ratios at http://www.allmotorhonda.com
and look at B series tranny specs... as you can
see your tranny would move out no doubt!

for an average of what this would do to your shift points,
you can apply the same rate of change to the mph
numbers at your rev limit to approximate how much it
would lower the land speed to engine speed. this
increases tq to the wheels also and no doubt increases
acceleration without having to mod the engine to ungodly
HP numbers. and if you do, you will pay the price in wheelspin
w/o a quaife!

I thank you for the reply. I realize what a shorter (higher numerical) FD does for acceleration, hence the reason for my wanting this information. The tranny is a cable LS tranny (YS1) The current FD is a 4.26. The gears are fairly long as they are right now. I would like to keep the current 1-5 and help with the acceleration by swapping in a 4.9 or a 4.7 FD. Now, is there anyone who can tell me how to A. Put a JDM spec ITR 4.7 FD or B. An ATS 4.9 FD (now, both of these are for HYDRO trannies) into a CABLE transmission. Thank you for help concerning these two items would be greatly appreciated.
