High RPM problems plus more
Ok well here's the problem, the car redlines fine in first and second gear then when I get up to third gear, at about 7k to 7300 rpm's the engine sounds like it hits the rev limiter and keeps bouncing off it until i shift, by the way this is in a 96 GSR where the redline is 8k but you all know that. I don't do this very often, very rarely do I even get into the high VTEC cam cause I just drive on local 35 mph roads to work and back every day but I just noticed this last night on the highway and then again when I checked it out this morning. For some reason I think the valve's are floating cause its like more air is getting in and then closing up real quick and then opening again, I think thats what the bouncing sound is. Two more things, the heater blows air no matter what even if it is on off and there seems to be a tremendous amount of heat coming into the inside of the car and on my feet especially, the shift boot feels unusually hot after normal driving as well. The car has 100k miles on it, I just changed the oil with Mobil 1 5w30, but the whole heat thing was happening before I did all the tuneup things. Please help me out here I really don't even know where to go with the engine.
I also have that Rough idle problem that the guy has in the other post labeled "me again with the rough idle"
