High Performance Coated Pistons?
well the piston coating helps hold heat in the combustion chamber and there is a side skirt coating to reduce friction. Is it worth it???? ah. It all depends what your trying to go for, if your running a race motor set-up i am sure it would help the performance and life of the engine. Probably the leading coating company right now is Swain.

Unless you have a problem with scuffing, coatings is not going to make any REAL difference in performance. The piston skirts don't touch the cylinder walls when your motor is running. If they did motors wouldn't last more than 10,000 miles.

Thanks guys, I bought a set of b16 pistons coated by High Performance Coatings in Arizona. $60 bux, have not been installed since they were coated. Buddy said he payed $170 for the coatings alone.
