i just put a type r ac delco oil filter (didnt have puraltor the blue kind) in my lsvtec, seems that i'm getting 84 psi of oil pressure at 3k rpms.. is that bad?? i have a shimmed ls oil pump that peaks out 92 psi but i usually get 78 psi at 3k rpms.. please let me know if it hurting my engine i'll change that bitch right away..

84psi it high but not enough to really worry about.............92psi is pretty high.......i dont think you want much more than 95-100psi before you start blowing out seals........

how thick is your oil?

 

i'm using regular castrol gtx 10w-30the high oil pressure is killing the motors performance i'll have to change that oil pump for a gsr oil pump soon.. i'm just glad that high oil pressure isnt harming my engine

 

stick with 5W30 in that case........

and try to stick with the OEM honda filters or something similar.........
