i had a resonated test pipe on my 99 gsr and it's obd2. so it threw a cel, so i took it off and put the factory on back on but i really want the test pipe back on. i heard from a couple people that if you put aluminum foil over the secondary o2 sensor it would not throw a cell has anyone ever tried this?

on my 01 when i added the test pipe it threw the CEL also. i had to convert over to obd1 to get rid of it. now i have my test pipe and CELs. its worth the extra money in the long run

Get a Car Sound high-flow cat. You'll have no CEL, you'll have almost the same flow as a test pipe, you'll be helping to preserve our air quality and the environment, and you'll avoid the very expensive federal fine if you're caught with a test pipe.

 

ive heard of the foil thing dotn know if it works u can switch to obd1. or get an o2 simulator. the carsound cats are real cheap if you know where to look for them i got my 94066 carsound cat 2 o2 bung obd2 cat for 30 bucks 15 dollar it was on ebay i was scared at first but shipping was insanely fast and it was the exact product new i was surprised
