Default Test Pipe OBD II Question CEL???

I know this been covered before, but I'm about purchase a omni power test pipe. My car is OBDII so it has a O2 sensor on the cat. The Omni test pipe comes with a second O2 Bung built into it already, but from what I heard it will still throw a CEL cause of the massive exhuast flow. Also does having a CEL hurt gas milage or any other things. dont really mind having a CEL, manily getting the test pipe cause I got a new exhaust and my stock cat is to long and pushes the whole exhaust forward (doesnt make it line up). Will the O2 sensor go bad after a while if left unpluged or pluged into the test pipe (I would guess the air wouldnt be as "clean" as the stock cat and damage the sensor???) I will keep my old exhuast and stock cat to be put back in the future when smog is an issue or something

its called extending the wires or buying an extension harness.

Anyway, having a secondary oxygen senor CEL doesnt affect gas mileage at least from my expereince. I drove on a 2ndary o2 CEL for the longest and didnt see a noticeable shift in gas mileage. From my knowledge, the secondary oxygen sensor is there to make sure your cat ios working properly

I thouhgt it the omni test pipe had the O2 bung right in the middle where u can twist and adjust the location, are u running a longer header (JDM 4-1 etc etc)

well I got a 97 hatch with a 00' b16(stock USDM type R header 2.25 collector, Guessing same length as stock b16 headers, w/si cat + buddy club exhaust, the cat is to long about 17 inches and pushes the whole exhaust forward and doesnt make it line up to the hangers about 4 inches away) anyone know If I will have trouble running this

just go to http://www.o2simulator.com

that will solve all of your problems. or you could do us all a favor and just get a high flow cat.

i did this for my car when i had a testpipe -

go to kragen or autozone or whatever you have and look for a "sparkplug nonfouler" i think thats what its called.

it comes with 2 metal things that screw into the o2 bung.
you drill one of them to fit the little white peice on the o2 sensor, and then you screw both together and put it in the test pipe. it tricks the sensor into thinking everything is working properly. ill take pics in a second
