Default high compression vs. low

i know that low is good for turbos, just wanted to know if u will gain anything if u got low compression and no turbo, is it as good as high compression??
might sound confusing..

actually i think high compression is better for both...well turbo stock compression not low...you need it higher to get rid of that lag

High compression means a more efficient burn, and more power/ torque. The reason you don't have higher compression ratios is becasue of the limitations of the fuel (it would detonate). It is lower on turbos than N/A because of that fact.

Higher compression with turbo makes one fast car..!!! But the problem is that it will be very difficult to tune. A low compression N/A is basically a econo-car. No point is going low comression unless you plan on FI.

you can go to like 18:1 compression and turbo if you want, but you need a diesel engine. If you have turbo and low compression, just crank up the boost.
