Default Hesitation on '94 PRelude VTEC

I'm having weird boging problem most noticable from 2,500-3,500 rpm, but it is there at any rpm. I have all new ignition components, so I would say it is not ignition related. The bogging is there even when the car is cold but when it warms up it gets even worse. Sometimes I would give it full throttle and there would be no response, it would either not want to accelerate or if it does it would then suddently loose power at any rpm and abruptly pick up the power. The engine sounds very smooth and there aren't any vibrations or weird noises while the car bogs. No check engine lights either. I've checked the plugs and some of them have white tips an indication the cylinders are running lean. I've been to Honda dealer to see what they could find and they could not do anything (this is a whole nother story). What is causing this bogging? All I have is DC header, aem intake and plullies.

This could f your engine up. Possible causes:

Incorrect plug heat range
Overadvanced ignition timing
Insufficient engine cooling
Lack of lubrication
Lean fuel mixture

Check it out ASAP

Everything Ignition related is right. I'm absolutely sure that this is not ignition related. I've played with timing, when I retared it the car was running absolutely horrible the bogging elevated like 10 times. What sensor become active when I step on the throttle? Is it possible the fuel pump, fuel pressure or map sensor malfunctioning?

How consistently does it happen?

I have almost the exact same symptoms on my '97. But on mine it only happens from 2,500-4,000 rpms, and is almost impossible to reproduce. It'll do it 10 times one day, and then go a 2 days with nothing. It's also very subtle - a passenger would never notice, nor would someone driving who was unfamiliar with the car.

I've checked/replaced all the ignition components (timing, cap, rotor, plugs, wires), replaced the fuel filter, & run fuel injector cleaner.

I want to try a new TPS sensor next.

It happens pretty much all the time. Some times its worst than others. One time it happened at the point when VTEC was about to engage and when it did it felt weak.
