Default here is you pro-techers a hard problem

The shop around here put on a msd ignition, blaster 2 coil, msd cap, and ngk plugs.
We replaced all the gaskets also. Here is the thing after we got it back when you rev it up it will "die" after 2000 rpms. So here is the question, WHY? It is not throwing any codes, all the wiring harness's are hooked up, and it is getting fuel.

We also thought it could be the msd ignition some we put it back to stock and
it still does the same freakin thing.

Thanks for the help.
Power

no they are right we checked timing and firing order like 5 times yesterday.

unless there is a plug we over looked I'm thinking censors.

Typically though, a bad sensor will throw a code... I'm thinking ignition of some sort. Is the idle smooth?

Could your spark timing be way off at 2000 rpm? I wonder why it would not degrade gradually rather than cutting out right at 2k?

Check rotor position and installation. Make sure its tight. Make sure plugs are gapped properly.

I forget if it's possible, but make sure you don't have the Distro in 180 deg. off... The rotor is idiot proof, I forget if the distro is... I've had too many 's tonight...

Well we took off the msd stuff and put everything in that area back to stock.
Do you think the head could be warped?

If the head was warped to a degree that would screw up your motor that bad, it would have been visible at Harrignton's....and they had to check for trueness to mill it down anyways. Possible a cracked head, un properly gapped spark plugs, bad plug wires, burnt distributor, bad INJECTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, it could be a lot of things, possibly even your computer.

You should already know what we've checked. You live ten min away from us!

flip your map sensor and your tps, if they were removed, they look exactly the same, and are easy to mix up.
