HELP Wiring motor question - ASAP Please
ok did a d16a swap into my 92 vx - there are no wires on the car's harness for the MAP sensor but there is a map sensor on the motor.....where the heck do the wires go? also there is a green wire with a stripe coming off the VTEC solenoid and a blue one too off the other part of the VTEC solenoid.....where do i wire them into to get VTEC now because of this motor having VTEC compared to the old motor not having it - thanks a lot for all your help guys - I appreciate it

im not calling you a noobie, but you sure its the map sensor not the tps. I have saw people get confused before connecting interchangeable plugs to the wrong thing, like tps and map, and the knock and iac (dunno how they made it fit, i think the knock is 1 pin and iac is 2, not 100% sure though) the b16 has a knock sensor which your car didn't, also vtec, you should have had extend the wires from the shock tower (which the plug for the vtec solenoid is also interchangeable with other plugs). The map sensor should have been the same. Could be wrong, but just an idea.
thanks a ton guys - i ran the green/yellow wire to a4 and the blue black to d6 on the ecu so that should be right correct ?? i guess i figured out the map sensoring problem and i havent thrown any codes but even yesterday i didnt without it hooked up so who knows - could be bad gas, low octane or water in the tank - the fuel filter and plugs will be changed tomorrow and that wont hurt to do - it had 87 in it for 3 or 4 months now and didnt have a motor and sat in the rain at th body shop so that could have done it - anyways the hesitation is going away under throttle so i am hoping it goes away totally - can you check my other posting about fuel injector wiring - thanks a ton to whomever text mess me on my celly - much ablidged
thanks again and if you have anything else please feel free to text me letting me know you replied or leave me a message - thanks all
