got a greddy PRofec-B-Spec 2 boost controller.
i hooked it up just like the greddy manual said.
"nc" port on valve unit --hose--- compressor housing on turbo ( pressure source).
"com" "" "" "" "" -- hose--- vacuum line on EXTERNAL wastegate.
took test drive and no control at all. felt the same at 0 boost as when i turned it up and vice versa. i dont want to damage my engine by not having a set boost pressure... esp. because i havent built my internals yet on my b16a2.
so 1. there are 3 ports on the greddy boost valve unit under the hood.
"com", "no", & "nc".
so since im only usin 2 of the ports ( nc & com) shouldnt i plug the 3rd one!!! im thinkin this is the major problem. that its the leak in the vaccuum.
2. the guy that had it hooked up b4 me was using a 3 way "T" fitting with his manual boost contoller.
like so --- "nc"--hose-- T -- hose--compressor housing
hose
wastegate
( there are two taps into the wastegate, the vaccuum on tap, and one on on the side) then he had the other end of the manny bc straight to the vaccum port on the wastegate.
im wonderin if i need to use this 3 way T fitting with the electronic bc as well.
so please any help would be tremendously useful!!! i need 100% guarentee that all the hoses and fittings are installed correctly! thank you.
