Default help! vtec not working all the time

hello, i have a b18c5, mods include aem cai, b&m fpr, aem fuel rail, ctr pully, msd digital 6 ignition, and a single fogger 50 shot of nitrous. my problem is my vtec does not always work. sometimes it will work and sometimes it wont, when it doesnt work sometimes if i turn my car on and off a few times it will work again.

i have tried resetting the ecu, and made sure it is not low on oil. the motor is not cold. anyone have any ideas on why this could be happening and how i can fix it?

thanks!

edit: i am also using chipped p28. im not sure which chip but its programmed for nitrous.

vtec troubleshooting guide

and to me it sounds oil pressure related, or electrical.
