my car came with a stupid vafc and i dont want it.

i know that i cant just unplug it.....i tired it and it had like 50 codes.

but i want it completely taken out to run a stock P28.

i can leave the pigtail in there, i just want all the sensors going straight to the ECU.

can anybody give me a quick rundown of whats what? i dont want to touch one with a 10 foot pole and i want it off my car.

 

First, you need the VAFC manual, which will show you what wires were spliced/cut into. Then you can figure out what you need to undo.

i took the vafc out....

wired the map in / map out back to one wire...... still have a code

wired the vtec wire (A4) back to the ECU instead of vafc..... still have a code

wired the vtec pressure solenoid back to the ECU... still have a code

code 3, 21, 22 WTF! everything is back to stock!

i got the car with the obd0 to obd1 harness and the vafc was all branched off of that. i guess i have alot of wiring to figure out

 

just had to reset the ECU.... so yeah, its nice now. no vafc and nice obd0 to obd1 wiring.
