Default Help! Turbocharging Automatics

I have a 91 Accord 2,2 single cam, 4 speed automatic. Unfortunetly I live in greece where autos are rare. What should I look out for if I would like to Modify the engine by adding a T28 Garret? How will the transmission respond to an extra 50hp / 70hp? Any advice, docs, links with specific information would be a great help.

thanks

I can tell you this. I went "against the grain" so to speak and superchaged my automatic civic. I just recently lost the tranny as well. Many a discussion was started about automatics and turbocharging. My story is like this: I bought the civic new in 1997, supercharged it at 30,000 miles, the odometer read 90,000+ when the tranny blew. I was boosting 5psi for 60,000 miles before it went. When it did go, I was dragracing at 10psi, that's probably what did it. My new tranny is from Leventen... It's supposed to handle 200+ horsepower..

Here's the link: http://www.levelten.com

I don't have specs or anything, all I can offer is that site and my own experience.

Good luck.

Eric
