is it on the dowls, or does it not even get to that point.

double check that your clutch alignment

sometimes, once it's on the splines, you need to start the bellhousing bolts and slowly crank in the tranny bolts in a star pattern.

yeah i used a clutch alignment tool so im not sure that thats the problem...

and no it dosent even get to the dowels
the half shaft is on the splines, but i cant see if the actual trans splines are getting on to the clutch.

Clutch alignment, trust me. I did it the first time without the tool. The second time it too me 5 hours and I still didn't succeed without buying a whole clutch kit so I could use it's alignment tool.

Even with the alignment tool it still can be a little off.

check the input shaft to the flywheel pilot bearing... (even though I don't think it's getting that far in)

Some times you have to wiggle it
also double check that the clutch splines fit on the input shaft, and can move down the shaft

try reassembling the clutch/flywheel/ clutch alignment tool.

maybe it moved and it's off.....

make sure the shaft can fit into the pilot bearing. I had a problem puttin in a tranny once. Figured out that the shaft didnt want to go into the pilot bearing. almost threw a pipe into the windshield

ITR Transmissons have a bigger shaft than some other b-series transmssions. Make sure the pilot bearing is the right size.
