Default Help tranny problems

My wife drives a stock 2000 Honda civic hatch, and today the tranmision started
to make and noise . The noise sounds like when you grind a gear but it is
doing it all the time (louder with more rpms).
After driving about 5min the noise goes away.
Any help will do.

It does it both in gear and out of gear.
It kind of sound like if you were to have it
in nutral and try moving it in to gear with out
the clutch depressed. Just a slight gear on gear
grinding

does it do it when car is in neutral idling with the clutch depressed?
or only does it when moving?
