Default HELP!! Tranny problem.

hey, i got a jdm b16 cable tranny an i just bought it an just took it apart caz it was grinding 3rd gear...an i put it all back together an now the input shaft wont turn.! it turns when everything is lose....idk what the prob. is.... Someone help!!!

Try moving the gear selector around starting in neutral and then try to spin it. When I put mine back together once this happened but after some gear changes, it all settled in

ok, but everything spins when the case is off, but when i go back together an everything is tight it wont spin....

You didn't put it back together correctly.

1) Is the c-clip sealed on the countershaft bearing?
2) Is the reverse gear upside down?
3) Is it somehow stuck in two gears at once?

They are just a few. Take it apart and keep looking aound to see something.

The c-clip is good, the reverse gear is good, an it was in 2 gears wat once but i took it apart an fixed it....but still doesnt spin.

No, it doesnt have to be..it will turn when theres no lube in it.

RobEK, is the inputshaft locating tab (flat washer with a turn-down tab found under the input shaft bearing) facing down towards the bell housing? And is it in the right location to align with the top transmission case?
