help on swap...please.........!!!!!
We did everything but get the passenger side axle wont come out. We broke three rachets trying to get it out but it wont budge. What are some tips to get it out. Tried prying and hammering but anything else. Im talking about the big 32mm bolt on the brake thingy. I know an impact gun would do it but anyway without it?
damn, three ratchets? make sure to return em, if they have warranty, haha. get another good ratchet, snap-on etc, something that don't break easily, like taiwan tools, and get a jack handle and jump on it to break it loose.
yeah thats the only way to do it. maybe a box wrench and a large pipe for leverage.
EDIT: lube it too!

If you broke three wratchets, something tells me you are NOT prying the little lock on the nut up before you are twisting it. Use some WD-40 and spray the **** out of it.
I get the nut off with a huge wratchet and a 4 foot breaker bar. It works VERY easy.

theres a little lock tab on the outer edge of the 32mm axle nut.make sure you pry that up so it clears the groove on the axle. and dont use ratchets, use breaker bars. if that dosent work, spray some penetrating lube on it, let it sit for a while, and then try it all over again.

sometimes they can get stuck on there pretty good. good enough that a 1/2" impact wrench won't take them off. if you can, get a 3/4" drive breaker bar with a 1 1/4" socket (fits perfectly on the nut, just as good, if not better than a 32mm socket) or try a 1/2" breaker bar. ratchets aren't ment to take that kinda stress, even the good ones.
i went through 2 1/2" breaker bars, 3 32mm sockets, AND tried using a 600ft/lb impact wrench.. none of them could get the passenger side axel nut off. finally bought the 3/4" breaker bar and the socket, slipped a 4' piece of pipe over the end, and it came off so easily i thought i broke something
you will probably need someone in the car with their foot on the breaks, possibly even if the car is still on the ground.
good luck!

yep..... I bring out the 4 foot pipe everytime a bolt is stuck. For the smaller jobs a 2 foot pipe works ok also. Leverage is a wonderful thing. And I have impact wrench in my garage but I like the pipe more. In the time it take to turn on the compressor and connect the hose I can have the pipe out and the nut off.
