Thanks for your response, I had mentioned it a little while back. It was running better with the o2 sensor unplugged so I replaced it with a brand new Denso one. Seems to have a helped a little but definitely didn't fix the problem.

I thought maybe it was the egr as well but did some research and looking around the engine and it turns out the zc's don't have them. So that was a dead end.

I really feel like it's the coolant temp sensor, because of the hesitation only at operating temp and because when it's cold it'll turn over quite a few times before it fires up. Which are both signs of a bad ect right?.... are the values I measured and listed earlier far enough off that it would cause these problems?

I remember my d16a6 had the same problem. It went away with a full tuneup (plugs, wires, o2 sensor, fuel filter, cap and rotor, plus the fuel injector cleaner). Maybe your injectors are really clogged up!

Thanks for the responses guys. Alright I'll definitely test them both again and try to get a more accurate reading.
And yah that's a definite possibility, I hope that's not it because getting new injectors/getting them professionally cleaned is expensive out here in new mexico.
I've pretty much done the full tune up, fuel filter, o2 sensor, new plugs/wires. The only thing I haven't done is the cap and rotor. I'll probably just end up getting a whole new distributor instead though, because the one that's on there now is kind of Frankensteined lol. When I did the swap I just took the internals from a new distributor and put them in the td-03u case.

Don't know if it's a related symptom or part of the cause, but driving today I noticed a pretty heavy gas smell. I think it was most likely coming from the exhaust fumes. Needless to say i think the car is running really rich. Also I went back and looked at my old o2 sensor that i changed a few weeks ago and it was pretty black, which pretty much confirms it.
Another thing I noticed, that while driving at night having my lights on makes the hesitation problem quite a bit worse......

Check for a bad connection and definatly loose pins on the connecter for the tps.
