Default Help! Steering Rack off!

Hey, so I know my steering rack/pinion is off because when the tires are straight, the wheel is not. Is this easily fixable?

Also, does anyone know of a good place to get an alignment (and possibly fix the steering rack if not expensive) in the Denver area?

Thanks,
Matt

Yes it is, there's a link where the steering column connects to the rack inside the car. Unbolt it completely, push back the link from the rack, spin steering wheel to where it looks straight to you, slide link back down to rack, bolts back on (make sure you don't strip the threads on the link). Beer.

If the rack has never been removed then it would be best to leave it be. It's likely you need an alignment however if the inner tie-rods are severely worn then any amount of alignments you do are not going to help the alignment stay aligned as there will be too much wear and movement to keep the wheels straight. So go down and try to get an alignment and tell them to check if the inner tierods are too worn for an alignment. If so, then get new inner tierods and outer tierods.

The rack has been removed, and when it was put back on, it was off a tooth or so. I'm trying to figure out the best way to fix that.
