Default Help! starter problem?

I have a 99 Civic that has a good battery, good ground with full electrical power. When I turn the ignition past the 3rd click to crank the engine, the starter clicks once and then everything dies? It seems to reset itself and the power comes back after a given time or after i connect and reconnect the battery. Is it my starter? I don't have an ignition kill, why is it killing the power?

I found the problem. Can you believe it, it was a bad battery cable. It's wierd because the wire is making contact on both ends but yet the power flow wasn't constant. Well either way, it's much better than a bad starter. Thanx for your input PnX-R.
