i'm having a problem and i'm not sure what the deal is. well, heres what happened. i busted my trans so i had to tow my car up to chicago, but when i got here my bat was to low to start the car so my dad and i tryed to roll start it and ever since then it wouldn't start! i've even recharged the batt. w/ no luck! it has a real light click, but it won't turn over at all! when i busted my trans it locked in gear, but when we tryed to roll start it, it popped out of gear and now it won't even turn over.

do you think that maybe something in the trans is locked up now and won't allow it to turn over? please someone help me.

 

Does the starter engage? Does it try to turn the motor over, or does it not turn at all? Pull the tranny off the motor and do a visual inspection to see if there is any damage.

 

all that happenes is i hear a very quiet ticking, but it won't turn over. i know i busted the bottom open pretty good.

i have one sitting along w/ a brand new duel friction clutch.... i just started pulling it apart....

 

i had the same problem, check the tranny ground or all the grounds ...mines was the tranny ground all i did was disconect it ,clean the area up make sure theres no rust build up and reconect it and works again

 

i was thinking mybe it'd be something like that. i have it 1/2 way apart so i'm gonna clean eveything really well befor it goes back together. thanks
