Help removing roll pin from shifter rod
I tried to buy a 8mm drift tool but could not find any at local shops. I also tried to use a 8mm bolt but the pin doesnt move and its hard to keep the bolt in one spot because of the threads. Is there any other way?
A punch will work. Harbor Freight has some cold steel punches that are really cheap (literally) but they are strong enough to get the job done.
Actually, I haven't broken one of them yet.... And I do beat the hell out of them.

5/16 or 8mm punch straight shaft punch. Use a mini sledge and give it a good wack.
I tried this technique but it's pretty fustrating. BFH and punch is the way to go!!

B series or D series ?
D series I do from the top. Long 3/8 extension with a 7/32 hex on the 3/8 drive. 5lbs hammer. I think the tranny goes in 2nd gear, ?
Feed the long extension down by the throttle body with the 7/32 hex bit on it, on to the top of the bitch pin. I think you figure out the rest.
