Default Help-Rattle in the rear?

Ever since i got my car lowered, there has been a distinct sort of rattle in the back of my car. I'm not sure if its just something hitting my exhaust or something when i hit a bump, but does anyone have this problem? The sound is more distinct with a softer shock setting, so i have mine on stiff...anyways my set up is tokico illuminas/H&R sports. thanks.

I have this same problem, sounds like a fuct up bushing or something - someday I'll rip everything back out and try and figure it out.

I have that same noise I think! I checked and it is my rear trailing arm bushings! They are fucked! I am going to replace them with ES poly at some point. The job is supposed to be a real bitch to do so I do not look forward to it!

The bushings may have been stretched beyond their normal capacity due to the lowering. My bushings have over 102K miles on them so I know they are all close to, if not, dead already. I would check out your rear trailing arms and see if the bushing looks damaged at all. You'll need to jack it up and take the tire off to see it well enough.

this is a newbie question, but i wasn't the one to lower my car. What does the trailing arm look like? do you have a pic by any chance? thanks.

Its possibly spring clatter...the dead coils of your spring coming together when you hit a bump. I had this and wedged some foam between the coils...rattle diminished 90%.

I'm going to remove my springs and wrap the coils with some tubing.
