what can be the problem...?

my set up is as follows
b18c1 block with itr internals

prolly should lower your fuel pressure ... too much fuel is my opinion

Check for vacuum leaks. Check to be sure that your throttle cable is not too tight. Check your tps voltage at idle : should be less than 0.5 volts. If all of this is o.k. , try swapping in another TW sensor (coolant temp.). Just a couple of things you might check.

I am also having the same problem, sometimes the car does not want to start at all when the weather is humid and hot. I think it is running to rich during the warm-up period.

when was the last time you did a tune-up poor plugs or wires will not burn all the gas and make it idle rought or fuel pressure to high also do you have another ECU you can try just to see if its the ECU that the problem!!

when i use my p-72 obd1 ecu with mugen chip, all is ok...but when i use the p-28 with mugen or skunk2 chip it runs good for awhile and then dies with eratic idles.i also have rc 270cc injectors with fp set at 40psi... new plugs and wires...

could it also be if i got an automatic ecu instead of manual?

thanks

hmm..
if your P28 was orginally an AT ecu, and then was reprogrammed with the mugen program, that right there will convert the AT ecu to a 5speed or MT ecu. That wouldn't be the problem though.

What year is your car?

one thing you might wanna do first, is reset the ecu --
pull the ecu fuse in the engine bay out for about 1/2 a minute. Then put it back in and see what happens.

Then if the idle still acts up, see if messing with the idle adjustment screw on the throttlebody will fix it; turning it down, which will drop the idle. Tightening the screw left-ways will turn the idle down. If that doesn't do it, then it might be the IACV sensor (sensor on the back of the intake manifold).... but then it stumps me...becase you say with your chipped P72 ecu, it runs perfect....

so here's where i become baffled.. why dont you just use the P72 ecu then?

which ecu is better? i heard the p-28 runs better with my set-up... i have a 93 integra....and the p-72 ecu with the chip is actually your chip jason.....i am using the p-28 because i have a single runner itr intake manifold.....

what fuel presure should i be at with the skunk2 chip since it runs rich?
mods:
95 gsr block and crank w/ itr rods and pistons
2001 itr complete top end
rc 270cc
msd sci ignition amp and coil
toda spec b cams, toda cam gears, toda valve springs, and portflow retainers
mugen 2 layer head gasket
vafc
jdm dc 4-1

thanks in advance for your help

hrm.. and who chipped the P28 then, me?
it actually doesn't matter which ecu you use, as long as you're running the mugen program on a VTEC ecu (sohc or dohc) they will all act/work/operate the same. Just because a P72 is an actual DOHC VTEC ecu and a P28 is a SOHC VTEC ecu, it doesn't mean the mugen chip/eprom will work bettter or worse...it will work exactly the same whether you leave my chip on the P72 ecu or move it over to the P28. I don't know what to tell you about the chipped P28 you have, but it should run like your P72 ecu.....if not, then I suspect it's not a Mugen program.

afaik....stock fuel pressure will work fine. The fuel pressure is not the same as Fuel mapping....so don't get the two mixed up. Adjusting your FPR won't change the effects of the mugen programs fuel mapping ..... although the use of an electronic fuel controller will; such as an SFC or VAFC.
