Default Help on oil seal removal

So far I got everything out and is looking at the crank oil seal. I tried to get a hook type tool to hook on the seal and pull it out but the surface is too hard and my tool doesn't go in deep enogh. I tried to put a screw into the seal and pull it out but once again because the oil seal is hard, the screw did not went thru. How does the dealer remove the seal? what tool do they use?

is it ok to use a flat head and jam between the bore and the outside diameter of seal and pry it open? won't that scratch the bore through? I need tips! Is there a tool i can get?

see pic below

drill a lil hole in the ring and use a screw screw it in and use a vise grip to pull on the ring. you migh have to drill another one 180 degree opposite and do the same take a lil time but that shoudl do it

while using a flathead to pry out the seal from the inner diameter, i notice that there is a metallic material shows when the rubber flew out. Does this metallic material belong to the seal or the engine? If it is the seal then I was doing it all wrong because I didn't want to scratch it thinking it is part of the bore. I tried to avoid it.

it's part of the seal. don't worry. also you will find there a spring like ring too. that all comes with the new one.
