Help with OBD
yes the ecu have effect on the car to start. I there is a pin on the ecu that is for the starter called a starter signal. The connector that connected to the ecu might be in different slots. So you might have to swap the wires in the connector around. But first you should get a pin voltage chart layout of the 2 ecu what see what each pins are for. You could get this from mitchell on demand.

NOT an opportunity for the ECU to interlock the starter.
