Default Help with OBD

Will a OBD I ECU work with OBD II motor? Starter doesn't crank and I was wondering if the OBD I ECU would cause it not to crank. Any help is great.

The ECU shouldn't be part of the starter circuit at all. What car/engine/ECU?

yes the ecu have effect on the car to start. I there is a pin on the ecu that is for the starter called a starter signal. The connector that connected to the ecu might be in different slots. So you might have to swap the wires in the connector around. But first you should get a pin voltage chart layout of the 2 ecu what see what each pins are for. You could get this from mitchell on demand.

What pin would this be on OBD1?

NOT an opportunity for the ECU to interlock the starter.
