Plug wires on correct ?

Valves to tight, maybe not closing all the way, so you got no compression ?

Do a compression test.

I just put together a built motor and it wouldent stay running because the valves wouldent close all the way.

check the valves seriously, you have had diffrent cams in and out try it !

ok i took apart the motor and i re checked the ring gaps and the are perfect .01 thats what they are suposed to be

the head gasket was on the right way on the head gasket it says "UP" so that was correct

that is my next step to adjust my valves because the machine shop had my whole head aprt to do a port and polish and cleaning so my valves could be off

and i also heard with a high comp motor i need to run 93 gas to make is run also is this true?

First of all does it crank? Even if the valve, ignition timing, piston ring gaps, etc is off it should still crank and start anyway. Recheck the wire harness and make sure you didn't miss plugging anything in.
