Default Help with new clutch install.

Hey .. I'm out here busting my chops, but to no avail. I can not, no matter what, get the axles off my car. The nuts on the hub just turns the axle all day, I can't get it off. Is there a secret? Also, is wheel bearing grease ok to use with re-assembling or is there another type I should get?

Do you have an impact wrench? Put the car on the ground, have someone put the car in fifth and mash on the brakes. As they are doing this you turn the nut.

Heh, I just ended up having somebody hit the brakes while I jumped (for real) on the breaker bar. It finally worked, and it took me a good 8 hours, but I'm finished. Here's a shot from about half way through.

Like that flywheel? I've been dying to put it in. You can feel the difference, but it's not anything earth shattering. I do like it though and for $280 on a group buy you can't beat it. That was a deal from NRG Racing I believe. I guess they're a little understaffed but AJ is a great guy - I recommend checking them out.

to get the axle nut off, I took a big adj wrench, and put the hoop end over a lug nut, then rested it next to another lug nut , turned the rotor until the wrench was wedged in between the second lug and the caliper.
got the nut off piece of cake with a 2 foot breaker bar.
just a FYI.

nice flywheel!!!!
I should adone that too, but I already spent all of my dough...
I am doing my tranny work as we speak... ITR LSD and ACT clutch.
