Default help needed.... o2 sim causing backfiring?

I installed my o2 sim as the instructions stated... but on occasion the tach just jumps around. and then the car backfires big time... it sometimes causes the car to stall, the wires that are tapped are power, ground, rpm, tps, and the secondary o2 signal wire was cut and replaced by the wire from the o2 sim. any ideas on why the car is doing this... btw it is not constant, it happens randomly i drove it today and it didnt do anything but i just finished putting my bottle heater in tonight and when i turn off the heater it causes the car to backfire. anyone have any ideas..

there in no check engine light on also.

check the ground wires for the fuel injectors/ distributor near the thermostat.... once mine were coming loose and it would randomly stall and the tach would jump around all hardcore...

might not be related, but worth glancing at.

the o2 sim was the problem.... my car died while drivign today and woudlnt start so i cut the o2 sim out and problem solved... started right up. and as for the check engine light it is still off (the secondary sensor wire to the ecu was cut and the sensor is still plugged in so the heater is workign) so it isnt throwing a code.
