alright hatchonarun... that TPS sensor... you can move it like back and forth... well try moving it alittle bit and screw it down and unplug your negitive battery so your ecu will clear out.. keep on doing til that check light will come on NO MORE...
thats just a tip to you i've had a friend with the same problem and thats all i did for him.. good luck!

you have the right idea but not quite...the tps sensor gives out specific voltages wich change depending on how its moved. There is a exact voltage it should read though, you have to get a volt meter and move it till you get the right reading then tightnen it down. get a haynes or helms manual they explain the exact process i cant remember of the top of my head, its two different readings one at idle and one full throttle.

yes u need to recalibrate the tps. Get a volt meter and hook it up to the red/black wire on the tps. Turn the key to the on position. With the throttle close adjust it untill its at .5 volts. Tighten and then test WOT. WOT should be 4.5volts.

i did wat u guys told me but there is a slight difference with mine, first i set my tps sensor to 4.5v on wot and it started revving so high with check engine light on that i have to shut off my car then i set it up with 4.5v on idle then it started fine no more check engine light i dont know whats wrong with my car everyone told me to do what you guys said but i did backwards is there any explanation for this???
another thing i test drove the car seems fine got a lil bit more power to it but sometimes my rpm gets stuck on around 2000 - 2500 rpm then if i revved it to like 7000 - 8000 rpm it goes back just below 1000. the bbk throttle body didnt come with a idle control valve that you can adjust and it seems like the thing yoou put the throttle cable is locking... any suggestion on how or what to lube it up with...
thanks again to all of you for your help...
but i gotta say one thing "tps sensor is a biatch and the best way to this is a voltmeter along with tylenol"
