HELP IACV ? Coolant bypass?
Hi although i am a new member i have been getting info here for almost 2 years and wanted to say this board helps me out all the time
, ok so here is my problem, and yes i tried searching.
About a month ago i did a coolant bypass of the IACV and TB and some time after that i had a bouncing idle. After it warmed up a little the idle would start bouncing from 700 to almost 2700rpm at first i suspected it was the lack of coolant to the IACV so i recently reattached the coolant line to the IACV, nothing. so i then tried to clean it with carb cleaner not too much crap came out, so i put it all back together again, still nothing this morning i tried putting a plate between the IACV and the IM to block the wholes hopping to bypass it, still same problem. WHAT IS LEFT?
I just want to be sure i need a new IACV before i drop 180 on a new one.
By the way this is on a 94 ls integra with 100k

i had this same problem. if i remember correctly, your suppose to put the small metal (aluminum can) plate between the FITV and the IM.
