hi, i have a 94 civic with d16z6... engine will not start, starter is working, battery is charged, fuel pressure is good 40psi. i have checked, i am getting spark at plugs, i just dont know if its enough. any help would be gladly appreciated, thanks ahead of time!!!

change your igniter

 

my igniter??? you mean the dizzy or distributor... i seem to be getting spark bbut i dont think its enough... wouldnt it still start tho even if i had low spark?? it doesnt even sound like it is gonna start..

 

You can change the dizzy or just the igniter.You'll still get some spark but it wont start itll just turn over

 

As mentioned, if you have a weak spark check the ICU, [igniter] and the coil, also check spark plug leads, the cap and rotor... http://www.ht-archive.com/showthread.php?p=10136469. 94

 

ok thanks alot!! i will change the distributor and rotor. i have a msd external coil... is there any way i can check if it is still good???
