Default Help cut mount???????

Have an eg coupe, but it had a H22 so they cut the right mount and only an H22 can fit on it, but I wanna get another mount like the one they cut and put a B-series motor in the car any idea where I can get this mount from?? Also where can weld on the mount for me??

Its the one on the right side

By the way can the mount be fixed or do I have to replace the whole mount?

cut out the new mount and weld in a new b-series mount for your car

you need to find an EG donor vehicle and remove the chassis mount you need. Its a pain in the *** to remove those unless you ghetto rig it and just cut it with a torch but that defeats the purpose. It took me 30+ min to remove the one from a 98 Integra Ls (tranny side) to weld it on a 98 EK Sedan so we can finish the B series swap and I had the right tools for the job.

You need to drill the spot welds on the chassis mount of the donor car. Its easy to see them from the paint. It will be a small, smooth round circle (AA battery size) that stands out from the rest of the mount surface. There are a couple of spot welds. I think i drilled no less then 5, cant remember. Once they are drilled, if there is any of that OE silicone around the mount, just cut it with a razor and the mount should just come off. Since your EG has already been hacked up, just cut the chassis mount you dont need any more and then grind whatever is left till you have a surface that is smooth and even to weld on. Position the mount from the donor vehicle to see if it will mate up to the car itself other wise, your engine might not sit even. Re weld the donor mount back on @ the spot welds and around the the whole mount itself to the vehicle. We did this with the engine in the vehicle so we can make sure it was lining up correctly. Good luck bro.
