Default Help with code 17. VSS

Drove into a big *** truck tire on the highway couple nights go doin like 80 . But anyways hit my front bumper pretty hard, ripped my lip off with it and a decent chunk out of my bumper.

Was driving around the otherday and my speedo decided to top working now and givin me code 17. Flllaasssshhhh flash flash flash flash flash flash flash. Hahaha. Anyways read it to be Vehicle Speed Sensor. Where is it on the motor, didnt have time to look right now gotta run to class so info on where its at will help me out later.

Thanks for the help
-Steve

P.S. - F all truck drivers who leave their blowouts in the middle of the highway.

Already i guess the sensor went. car was always about 5-10 mph off. Since the CEL is on the car is prbly in some sort of limp mode right?

if you the ecu is not gettting a vss signal vtec will not engage assuming you have a vtec engine your speedo and odometer will not work as well.
