I'm working on a 91 Honda civic. Has spark, fuel,compression and just cranks over but doesn't start.

 

What were the compression numbers? Put the motor to tdc and check the dizzy to make sure the rotar is pointing to the number one cylinder and check your spark plug order.

 

Checks out fine. Still no start.

 

Check your cap, rotor and spark plugs first. A bad rotor but having spark = No bueno.

 

Checked already n did a tune up. Same problem.

 

You need fuel, spark, compression and both valve and ign. timing for engine to run, you are missing at least on of them.

I would start by confirming valve timing is correct, [maybe timing belt skipped a tooth].

Then confirm compression, ign. timing and spark, [use HEI spark tester]. 94

 

All checked out fine

 

Then engine should run, something is missing, [or low]. 94

 

Ima take my chances n switch distributor anyways. Doing it now

 

Fixed. . New distributor worked!!

 

So no or poor spark. 94
