Help! C.E.L. dim all other lights normal
Ok I searched google the best I can, and HT doesn't even have an answer for this, I saw some forums with no right answer, so lets see is someone here can solve this. My friends 99si, swapped to a fully built GSR and ran on Hondata S300 off a P28 on a jumper harness down to OBD1 won't start. The engine cranks as much as you want but it won't start. When you turn the key to on position check engine light comes on but is very dim, all other lights are normal brightness and everything else works fine. IT IS NOT an alternator issue or a battery issue but I do think it's a Electrical issue. There is an odd flickering noise from the main relay but we changed it and no luck. The ECU that normally has the green light from the USB port flickers red and green rapidly, then settles on red. We changed the ignition coil and we are getting spark but I don't think we have fuel (didn't have any starter fluid or voltage meters to test this) if anyone can help thanks a lot! Any input is handy but remember it is not the battery, or the alternator!
Ditto the above^^^, most likely a grounding issue.
Question, when you turn on the ign. to run,[and CEL comes on dim] can ypou hear the fuel pump priming, does CEL go out after a few sec.?
If not, drop the PGM-FI Main Relay and check it's ground, [black lead]. 94
