help bleeding jack...
I recently purchased a harbor freight jack and it doesn't seem to hold it's pressure. Someone usually has to hold the handle down or the jack will start to fall by itself. I've tried bleeding it with no results, can anyone tell me the procedure to follow? The manual isn't very helpful. Here's what I'm doing:
-Remove the solid screw
-Top of hydraulic jack fluid
-Replace with bleeder screw, fully tightened
-Turn handle 1.5 full times counter-clockwise
-Pump rapidly (how long?)
-Turn handle clockwise to stop
After bleeding do you replace the bleeder screw with the solid screw? Anyone have any suggestions? If this doesn't work do you think the jack is faulty?
