Help!! Bent suspension
I was having problems with my camber on my front driver side (-2.9) I have kyb gr2s and eibach pro kit on 98 gsr (55000). I took it to the dealership and they said basically the whole suspension is bent, lower control arm, tie rod end, upper control arm, hub, and knuckel. Well anyway they quoted me a price of $1800-2000. I was wondering if this first off is a good price (if not and know a good shop in the DC area would like to know). Second, they said it was probably caused by a pot hole or an accident haven't been in an accident so should I call insurance and try to get them to fix it saying I hit a pot hole? Also, would it be a good idea to buy used parts from a junkyard or partstrader? thanks for any help
id start with the lower control arm..you can get a used one for 45bucks from http://www.importautosalvage.com I hit a curb, and the new LCA cured all of my problems.
I had the same problem. After replacing, knuckle, upper, lower control arms, and new shocks the camber still about 1.5 degree off. I guess my sub frame is bent. well, the cheap and easiest way I'd think off is getting a camber kit. A camber kit wouldn't cost much (~$100) compare to the whole suspension.
