Help - Axle too long?!?
I have a B16 in my 5th Gen civic coupe, when I drive it I get a hard vibration from the left of the car which gets worst as I turn to the letf and which disapears when I turn right.
I took the car to a garage to find the problem and they said the left axle is too long. Could this be correct, and if so what should I do? I any one had a measurement of the length of their left axle (just shaft with no C/Vs attached) used in a 5th b16 swap I would be grateful.
Thanks Gavin.

You have the wrong halfshaft most likely... Same problem we had on my friend's CRX... Vibration is a bitch now huh... Swap the halfshaft and it should be finel.. Good Luck!!
I got a new halfshaft from my Honda Dealer here in the UK, and I ordered it using a chassis number from an EG9 (vti saloon in uk). I don't no if it helps but my car is also lowered 40mm. The right hand shaft came attached to the gearbox, the left hand side shaft was not attached.
I might no what the problem is, but can some one confirm before I order any parts. Is there any difference in length between an Sir2 left hand side axle and a B16a3 delsol left hand side axle? Sorry if this is a stupid question but have tried search and figer you guys in the US might be able to help me as you have more knowledge on swap related maters than us UK folk!
Thanks Gavin.
Thanks Gavin.
