i have a b18c motor, i just got some arp head bolts from a friend, that he had on his lsvtec.He gave me the head bolts but he lost the bolts and washers. Is there any way to figure out if those head bolts are for a gsr or itr? because as we all know u need the gsr or itr headbolts on an lsvtec.can any body give me any info on how to tell the difference between the itr/gsr and the ls head bolts.If any body maybe has any gsr arp headbolts maybe the can give me the length of them.any help will be appreciated. my friend doesnt have a clue cuz he got the motor from someone else.

 

For ls/v or crvtec you use a combination of vtec and non vtec head studs

You cant use all ls bolts or all gsr bolts theres a couple tha wont fit
So the only person that knows is the original owner

Ps did he lose the nuts and washers or the studs

 

gsr and itr are the same. for an ls/vtec you just need gsr/itr headbolts/studs

 

I lost the nuts and washers,i called arp and they gave me the price for the nuts and washers and part number, i told them that they were for a gsr,but i just assumed that the arp studs that i have are for a gsr cuz they came off a ls-v setup. and to my knowlegde u need gsr/itr studs when doing a ls-v setup. but i really want to make sure what those studs are really for, cuz if they are not for a gsr/itr then i dont want to use them. so i was wondering if there is anyone out there with gsr/itr arp studs if they could measure the length of there studs so i can compare the lengths.thats my only way of finding out what studs i actually have.

 

wow this is deff. not true, you use the bolts for whatever head you have
