Default Help with Air/Fuel etc etc..

Whats up guys. I just installed MSD 6AL, Blaster SS Coil, Modified MSD distributer, bosch platinum 2 spark plugs, MSD 8.5mm spark plugs, a new O2 Sensor, new fuel filter, B&M Fuel Pressure Regulator and Gauge, and a Autometer Air/fuel Gauge this past weekend. Its all Bolted up to my OBD1 LS engine in a EG6. Everything seems to be running fine. Stock Fuel pressure read at around 33psi on the gauge, but Air/fuel is very rich at Idle and WOT. Any ideas or comments on what i should do to un-rich the Air/fuel or tuning tips with the equipment I have right now. Also I have a intake and exhaust if that helps. Any comments suggestion would be appreciated.

Mine does the same thing. I have had a lot of people tell me though that the A/F guages aren't very accurate. When at WOT, mine is fully rich. Get it dynoed w/ the a/f sensor in, it will give you a VERY accurate reading. I use my a/f guage to intimidate the competition now .

take to a wideband o2'ed dyno. and if you want to to realy want to tune it your self get a lambda o2 sensor. Thats the most accurate a/f ratio gadge. it repalces the whole o2 with one with the gadge.

Hmm i figure out why my the meter was running so rich. I consulted the Hayes manual and figure out that i had to connect the purple wire from the gauge to the white O2 sensor wire coming out of the ECU harness, aka D14. Well before i consulted the manual i just connected it to the white wire that was the same for my freinds CX, but i have a DX and there slightly different when it comes to O2 sensor wiring. So when i started counting down the actual wires...turns out the purple wire does not connect the white wires on my harness cuse on my harness that harness is white with a red stripe. Now i am getting more accurate readings and at WOT its bouncing it what seems to be the correct area. I had previously had the purple wire connected to smoething else and i think it was detecting voltage shifts from when the altenator was juicing. Any hoot, i got to tune alittle and it sseems to be better. Thanks.
