Default Help...

Got my b18a1 head back...new cams, springs, retainers...3 angle valve job, all that stuff...and also a .020" MILL on the head...so i torque it all down, and its beautiful, and rolls over nicely...but i have slack in my timing belt...i think its enough to jump gears...the tensioner is tight...so i have no clue what it is...i think its cuz i got the head milled .020" and im using stock cam gears...but i got AEM cam gears that come tomorow...help...

You should be able to take out the slack with the belt tensioner.

Its just a bolt, in the timing cover...and i tightened it down...its snug, but not 4000ft lbs...i dont know what to do..

There should be a sprung pulley that you can adjust to put more tension on the belt.

Loosen tensioner bolt 180 degrees. Rotate crankshaft 3 teeth on the TIMING GEAR counterclockwise. Then retorque the tensioner bolt. This should be done after the timing belt has been set. To set the timing belt rotate crankshaft counterclockwise 5 or 6 revolutions.
