I was a dumb as$ tonight and decided to run one of my buddies. After we were almost on campus, I hear this kind of grinding sound coming from the distributor. What the hell. And it is vibrating. What the hell? Any help will be appreciated.

 

take the distributor cap off and see if the rotor broke or something, or if there is something broken loose in there.. if not take the distributor out and spin it, and check to see if the bearing is making the sound

 

I'm going to try that now.

 

I got the cap off, but couldn't get the rotor off to see the rest of the distributor. still need help.

 

Is the inside of the distributor covered with brown dust?

The bearing in the distributor is crapping out. Time for a new dist. sub assembly.

 

how much is that gonna set me back?

What motors can I rip for the right distributor.

It's for a JDM d15b vtec-e motor.
