Default help!!!!!!!

my chipped p28 started smoking yesterday so i took it apart and the d1779 l31 resistor was all burned up (it has three prongs, is black and looks like a rectangle) its located behind the main sockets where the harness plugs into, does anybody know if this is repairable it looks to me like it could have a new one soldered in but i have no idea where i could get a new one

fawk all that trouble. just get a new p28 and don't chip it this time. chips don't give you any performance gains whatsoever. They're a gimmick. You're sacrificing reliability and stability, and you're depending on the guy who installed the chip not to break **** from the getgo.

There's a guy on http://www.thepartstrader.com that sells P28's cheap.

Stay away from the chips.

you didn't say crome, you said "chipped" as in generic performance chip... ask the people who make it... johncui(at)tunewithcrome.com
