Heater and/or blower motor suggestions needed!
Subject: 1993 del Sol Si.
Problem: Heater/fan switch on any position yields no blowing or noise whatsoever.
Solution: ? We bought a used blower motor which I have yet to put in to try and remedy this problem. Winter is coming here in Connecticut and we need to get the heat crankin' in this car
Basically, I just need to know if any of you have any other suggestions as to what I should check BEFORE installing this blower motor in an effort to fix this problem. Any fuses, relays, etc. to check would be appreciated. Also, when the fan switch is on on any of the 4 positions, it seems like the electronics of the dash go a bit haywire. Have no idea if this is in relation to the motor, but I figured I'd add that info in case any of you have experienced something similar.
So.. what do you think? TIA!

1. are you sure that your switch works? use a multi meter to check the continuity
2. check and make sure that all the wires are plugged in and grounded that the blower is grounded correctly.
3. like he said check your fuse box and relays the fuse box is between the driver side door and the dash the relay box is under the hood a box with some square things sticking into it both should have a diagram on the cover telling you which is which to check the relay ? you got me im not sure
hope this helps man

Thanks.. already checked all fusing under the hood and kick panel. All fuses are good. Think I will just install the blower motor and see what happens...

First, check the fuse under the hood for the heater motor. If it is is good, start at the motor. One wire will be 12v+ and the other will go to the switch (Honda has the switch control the path to ground not power to the motor) You can run a jumper from the wire that isn't positive to ground. If your motor doesn't spin, it is the blower motor. If it does spin, it would either be the fan switch or the resistor box (usually when it is the box, the fan will work on high only, but no low or medium speeds)
