Default Headlights dimming problem.

Just a quick question.

It seems as if my headlights would go dimmer (at night of course) when I step on the gas to accelerate and back to "normal" when I decelerate or at a constant speed.

During idle, I could turn on the accessory lights without causing the same problem though.

What could be the culprit? Bad ground, faulty alternator...?

TIA
